"In the Emptyland series I talk about an imaginary island in which I woke up on my way back to Spain from a travel to South America in 2010. In that island only exists one animal of each specie. An asexual immortal animal. Empty animals all of them. For that reason, they do not need to eat and the difference between hunting or being hunted disappears. They live in a constant fauna of symbiotic beings where they help each other. The tiniest of them, as the lizards, get hold tightly onto big mammals as not to be carried away by the wind. This served as an excuse to take over the emptiness and to give it the importance as the “infinite possibility” that for me is that space or, in other words this “no-space”.
